David has successfully sold hundreds of millions of dollars in real estate. He implemented his real estate skills by selling, many of the same properties, more than 3 times over; consequently, making clients profits that exceeded over millions of dollars. He honed in on working with clients from 1st time home buyers to the affluent clientele, who were looking to purchase a 2nd, 3rd and 4th homes, as well as investment properties. He enjoys working with investor clients, especially, when they are doing a 1031 tax deferred exchange. David has sold real estate to professional athletes such as Drayton Florence and Mike Goff which are both former SD Chargers. David R. Indermill was the FIRST REALTOR in San Diego to have a 12 foot by 24 foot billboard which was located above the Roberto’s on a busy intersection in Mission Beach in 2001. To compliment the billboard, David ran the same advertisement for 3 Months, on several 4 X 6 foot illuminated bus shelters, and a 4 X 4 foot dual sided mini billboard that a bicycle company rode all over the beach area. The first, of its kind, billboard featured Phil Nevin, 2001 MVP San Diego Padres, and David with the famous quote “Hit a Home Run with Dave!” David’s marketing campaign was featured in the 2001 The Re/Max Times that circulates to every Re/Max office in the world! This was before the social media revolution.
Born and raised in San Diego, David grew up with 3 sisters. David remembers, ”My dad was self-employed and my Mom was a S.D.S.U. Professor of American Literature and Senior Advisory. I would see my mom leave early in the morning for work and my Dad would leave different times of the morning since he was self-employed. I really thought that was cool so I am sure that’s what influenced me to follow a path of self-employment and entrepreneurship. My parents are both retired and they instilled in me to work hard and diligently. ”
David’s path that led him to working in the Real Estate business was due to his former company that was called, “Superior Mobile Detail Service” that he started in 1989. David starting climbing the latter of success. He had many affluent clients, as well as professional athletes, such as former San Diego Padres: Ken Caminiti, Phil Nevin, Ryan Klesko, Rob Deer and Trevor Hoffman just to name a few. In fact, after becoming very close friends with Ken, “Cammy” introduced David to the other baseball players in the team clubhouses. David even sold Hoffy’s Porsche for $80,000 Cash! David went on a surf trip to Costa Rica with Ryan Klesko and the world famous surf board shaper Rusty Preisendorfer in the year 2000.
The SD Union Tribune did a story on David August 11, 1998, which was featured on the first page of The Currents Section, “Padres Take Quite A Shine To Detail Dave”. Then on July 25, 2000, Channel 4 Prime Time Padres did a 5 min interview titled “Detail Dave” which aired for the entire season before each game. “It was very natural process for me to start selling real estate as that was next in line on the ladder I was climbing”. I ended up donating my detail business to one of my workers so I could make a clean break. “I like to surround myself around successful people, not necessarily wealthy.”
David purchased his first home in Pacific Beach that’s steps to Sail Bay in the 3rd year of his career. David enjoys helping people and giving back to the Pacific Beach community and is a business member of the Pacific Beach Town Council. He is big on recycling on preserving the environment. David donates his time and money to different non profit organizations, including Love Thy Neighbor that serves the communities of Tijuana and Rosarito Mexico. David is on the Board of Directors as a Broker Advisor for Heartland Coalition. David love’s to travel and socialize along with bringing the right people together with friends and business. David is a devoted Single Father to his teenage daughter. Angelica will be following his footsteps and getting her Real Estate License when she turns 18. She is bilingual and love being a drummer. David has lived in Europe for several months in the early 1990’s for work. He has been on many surf trips to Brazil, Costa Rica, Hawaii and many different places in Mexico. In his spare time he enjoys surfing, paddle boarding, skateboarding and Boxing. Riding his HD Road King around town or riding his beach cruiser on the Mission Beach Boardwalk.
